Toqan memory: how it works

You engage with Toqan via conversations. In Toqan web, you start a new chat by clicking on the New Chat button at the top of your screen. In Toqan in Slack, you start a new thread by going to the Message Toqan box at the bottom of the screen.
In this video you’ll see how Toqan’s memory works in chat – when it will remember what you’ve told it and when it won’t.

Important things to keep in mind

1. Toqan will remember what you’ve told it in the Personalisation settings. If you’ve given it particular instructions to always follow, it will do so in any new chat.

2. Toqan remembers what you’ve told it in the chat or thread. If you go to a new chat or start a new thread, it won’t remember what you’ve said in previous chats/threads.

3. You can revisit a previous chat or thread and Toqan will still remember even if it’s days or weeks later. On Toqan web, you’d go the History button (see below) and find the chat you’re looking for. In Slack, you’d scroll to past conversations to find the thread you’re looking for (or simply search in Slack if you know a search term that would help you find the thread faster).
