Brainstorming for new ideas
It’s easy to hit a blank wall when we have multiple deadlines for different projects, our home life is calling, the pressure is on at every level and we’re asked to contribute cool ideas to a meeting or planning session.
Toqan is brilliant at helping you to get started with a brainstorming session or to amplify your existing thoughts.
Follow these steps and check out the example below.
Brainstorming steps
Step 1: Tell Toqan more about your role
Giving Toqan insight into your role gives it a perspective from which to answer. It now knows a little more about you and what output would be most relevant to you.
Step 2: Tell Toqan more about your industry
Similarly, sharing insights about your business or industry allows Toqan to generate output that’s far more valuable to your situation.
Step 3: Be specific about the output
The more precise your prompt, the better the output. Also indicate what format you want the output to be in. Do you want a list? Sections? Paragraphs? Bullets? A summary?
Step 4: Add a bit of flair
AI output can sometimes be too generic. Get around this by telling Toqan to be insanely creative or to come up with ideas that will disrupt an industry. Tell it to go wild!
Step 5: Review the output
Review what Toqan has given you. Sometimes it will be incredible ideas in the first try. Sometimes you’ll need to ask it for a bit more. Many users start with these initial ideas then flesh them out either in their teams, or by going further down the brainstorm path with Toqan.
You could highlight one or more of these ideas and ask Toqan to give you more detail. Tell it what kind of info you want it to flesh out or what else you’d like to learn about that particular idea. Ask questions related to the idea to get richer answers. Remember to stay in the thread so Toqan has the history and background of your query.
Step 6: Use the follow-up questions
Check out the follow-up questions Toqan offers. There are always three questions at the end of every answer. These are designed to develop your knowledge – often Toqan gives you questions you may not think of in the moment but are super valuable to your query.
Toqan in action
Here’s an example of how Toqan responds to a request for ideas.
The prompt: I’m a business development manager at a food delivery service in India. I need five insanely creative and innovative ideas for new business within the food delivery industry, each with a unique value proposition that addresses specific needs or gaps in the market. I want you to come up with ideas that have unrestrained creativity. Consider all current trends, technology and what may happen in the future. For each idea, I want a short overview, an outline of who the target audience is. Also list how this is unique and different from current offerings in the food delivery market. Include a section on the feasibility, scalability and impact of each idea. These ideas must be able to disrupt the market or significantly change how we do business in a positive way.
The more detail you give Toqan, the better the output will be.
