Analyse and summarise relevant research
Toqan is excellent at doing web searches to help you find information quickly. It can then also summarise it for you, saving you precious hours. In this example, we look at how it can summarise an article using just a URL.
The prompt: We’re working on our business plans and forecasting for our upcoming budget session. Analyse and summarise this article about ecommerce statistics in 2024 in 10 bullet points. I want only the most important facts included that would be relevant for me as a CFO in an ecommerce business: https://ripenapps.com/blog/top-ecommerce-trends/
You could take this further and ask Toqan to compare these trends to what your company is doing right now. You do this either by providing a business plan, strategic overview, a director’s report or any other insights Toqan can use to do the comparison.
Your prompt could be something like this: Now review the attached document and compare how close we are to these trends. Highlight where there are red flags – in other words, we are nowhere near where we should be. Suggest ways in which we can address those areas.
Or you might go deeper on one of the elements. For example, point 6: Shipping expectations might be something you’re particularly interested in given its enormous potential but also it’s huge cost.
The prompt: Give me more detailed insights on what I should consider about this: Shipping Expectations: Approximately 75% of consumers expect free shipping, significantly impacting pricing strategies and overall profitability, requiring careful consideration in financial planning.
You can keep going until you’re satisfied you have all the info you need. Also remember to look at the three follow-up questions Toqan provides – these can help to gain deeper knowledge or see perspectives you may not have considered on your own.
